Healing heroes with outdoor adventures

Camp Freedom is a nonprofit organization that provides outdoor adventures for disabled Veterans and First Responders, their family members, and Gold Star families including quality hunting, shooting sports, fishing, hiking, biking, and other year-round outdoor activities. These activities remove individuals from clinical settings into the healing environment of the outdoors and nature.
Your donations help us provide the environment of healing to our heroes.
I go to nature to be soothed and
healed, and to have my senses
put in order.

WHY DO WE NEED A PLACE LIKE CAMP FREEDOM?

There are over 5 million disabled Veterans in the United States. Many of these heroes live life devoid of opportunity to find a new mission and purpose. First Responders continually see the worst of human experience. Constant stress, and an inability to save everyone they attempt to save takes a toll. Whether trauma is a single occurrence or cumulative from repeated exposure to trauma, the results lead many down a pathway of isolation, drugs and or alcohol, and desperation. Camp Freedom offers hope and help.

Camp Freedom has really helped me heal and I am really blessed for this opportunity. God blessed us with this beautiful scenery and I am healing through this process. This is what I need to heal.
– Sherry Derr, Army Veteran and Corrections Officer
